Salvatore was one of four children born to his Mother and Father. He had a single older Sister by the name of Michelle who came to be in 1887 a Brother, Michael, and two younger Sisters, Carmela who enters the World in 1898 and Providencia three years later in 1901.

The Gullo family all work in the booming Tampa cigar industry when they reached working age...

Salvatore would enlist with the United States Army on September 18th, 1917 as the winds of war begin to stir in the U.S. According to his draft registration card Mr. Gullo is employed as a cigar maker when he joins the military and is sent to train at Camp Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina.

Along with the rest of his regiment, Mr Gullo leaves for France aboard the SS Duca Degli Abruzzi on September 8th, 1918 to serve in the World War.

Upon the great wars end, in the Autumn of 1919 Salvatore ( Who also went by Sam ) at the age of 26 marries his Wife Carmela who is 6 years his junior. Together they would have three children during the course of their marriage. A Son they name Philip, and two Daughters, Mary, and Sylvia

Salvatore continued to work in the cigar industry here in Tampa, Florida in order to support his now growing family.

By 1931 Mr. Gullo had become ill and is sent to a military hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana where he would pass away on May 4th, 1931...
